Restaurant Le Capitaine offers a fabulous array of seafood cuisine that is creatively prepared, served quickly, and presented with flair. Situated in a desirable location, it offers a spectacular view of the aquamarine waters of Grand Baie.
The restaurant has recently been renovated, and offers a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere under a covered terrace with comfortable chairs, along with a small lounge and a bar beautifully decorated with a captivating blue mosaic wall. Le Capitaine also features two amazing aquariums with colourful fish, starfish and coral.
The service is second to none and the staff members are friendly, attentive and always greet you with a cheerful smile. Most of the employees have worked at Restaurant Le Capitaine for more than 10 years, and two of them started in 1989 when the restaurant first opened. The owner, Mr. Koomaren Chetty, and his staff members will be happy to help you make selections from the menu.
Whether you're a visitor or a business person anxious to impress the client that you've been grooming for months, a meal at Restaurant Le Capitaine is guaranteed to be a memorable occasion. Why not try the baked crab’s meat with braised palm heart, a seafood platter braised in olive oil, grilled gambas served with vegetables and rice, or king prawns? In case you're not a seafood lover, there are many alternatives on the menu, such as beef fillet, lamb curry, duck and chicken tikka with raita sauce.
