Very friendly staff and really good food! So fresh and flavoursome. Good price too. Cocktails are lovely, especially their mojito and Sun & Sand. We’ll definitely be returning when we visit Belle mare beach again. Definitely recommend.
Dropped into Sun & Sand for lunch and it just hit the spot. Started with cheese samosas and cheese fritters — hot, crispy, easy win straight away. Proper pick-at food while you settle in. Mains were nice, if a little over salted for us. Veg curry packed with flavour, lamb curry rich and tender, and the seafood paella was loaded — loads going on, not skimpy at all. Washed it down with a couple of passion fruit mojitos (go down very easily in the midday sun) plus some soft drinks. It’s got that perfect laid-back lunchtime feel — no rush, good portions, just sit back and enjoy it. Nothing fancy, just really solid food done well. Exactly what you want in the middle of the day.
We had a great meal, very tasty, nice portions, well presented. Staff are extremely friendly and greet you with a typical nice and warm Mauritian smile 😀❤️🇲🇺 Very nice beach type setting under the trees. A great little beachside restaurant with amazing food—I enjoyed it so much I went twice! It opens from 12:30, and both visits were excellent. On my first visit, I had the grilled octopus, which was perfectly cooked. The second time, I tried the lamb curry, which was full of flavor and very satisfying. A rum and coke made the perfect pairing. Dessert was Banana Flambé, also very good!! The atmosphere is unique as well, with fruit bats residing in the surrounding trees, adding a special touch to the setting. Highly recommended for good food and a memorable beachside experience.
