We had the pleasure of trying the gourmet menu at Escale Creole, and every single dish was prepared with so much care and absolutely delicious. What made the experience even more special was the incredibly warm welcome we received. We weren’t just served. we were treated like genuine guests they were truly happy to have. Every member of the team greeted us with a smile and radiated genuine warmth and happiness, which made us feel right at home. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail and has a charming, authentic atmosphere. We can wholeheartedly recommend Escale Creole to anyone visiting Mauritius. Do yourself a favor and give it a tr. You won’t regret it. Five well-deserved stars!
Our first stop in Mauritius and will keep a special place for us. The venue is unique with a backyard homestyle feel. Everyone was very hospitable and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our experience. The food overall was goid- the octopus curry was the best and wish i could order a dish of just that! Finding the restaurant can be difficult, Google directions are accurate but the road is very small and easy to miss. Reservations are highly recommended.
Fantastic experience. We're a British Mauritian family and this is some of the most authentic Mauritian food we've had on the Island. Amazing setting, great staff and perfect food.
From reservation to dessert, the service was perfect! Very professional approach that gives you the impression to be special. Accompanied with an immersive atmosphere that brings you back in the old days, Sega music in the background reminds you how it is to be in Mauritius eating traditional food. I recommend you all to try!
Visited this place for a creole experience and wasn’t disappointed. The location is in a quiet village and the ambiance and seating of this place is amazing. We got started with set starters and some drinks which were a light refreshing snack. For mains, you have to order from one of the set menus so we got the all inclusive meal. A mix of rice, lentil gravy, some vegetable preparation along with a host of meats that included chicken, fish, octopus, deer, fish, and pork. The fish and deer dish were so rich in flavor and our favorite. The octopus did have a strong seafood taste which we didn’t really enjoy but finished the dish nonetheless as it was not bad. Finally wrapped up with the sweet dishes which was a nice end to the meal. The papaya with vanilla was a unique dish and we certainly enjoyed it along with everything else. Overall a great experience of location, flavor, and service.
