Theme: One People, One Nation, One Heart ♥
This year’s theme was chosen to celebrate the spirit of unity of our nation through the years, with all the difficulties encountered. Four different colours on the same flag symbolizing the unison of all the communities and representing a paradise. Different people from different parts of the world gathered on a small island in the Indian Ocean that we today, until the end of time will call Mauritius, our motherland, our “patrie”.
“Glory to thee, Motherland, O Motherland of mine.”
A land of freedom, justice and peace where our grandfathers and grandmothers started from zero to make this small dot on the world map great and beloved to all.
“As one people,
As one nation,
In peace, justice and liberty”
The old spirits guard the prosperity of our island, the spirit of new generation drives our nation forward. Together as a synchronizing heart, we march through time to make our country glorious.
“Beloved Country
May God bless thee
For ever and ever.”
