Description
Visit the original Seven Coloured Earths in Chamarel and see the unique multicoloured sand dunes—red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple, and yellow—set against lush vegetation and the Black River mountain range. Along the way, admire the Chamarel Waterfall, the tallest single-drop waterfall in Mauritius, measuring approximately 100 metres.
Explore the tortoise park to meet tortoises named Toto, Tizean, Rosette, Nini, Tizom, and Tifam. These giant Aldabra tortoises, native to Seychelles, can reach up to one meter in length and live for over 150 years, making it a memorable family experience.
Within the Geopark, enjoy a snack or lunch at the Coffee Shop featuring themed products like Seven-Coloured Macaroons and Gourmet Popsicles. The shop also serves Chamarel Coffee, grown on volcanic soil, known for its distinctive flavour.
