The main courses were really good. I fell in love with the “Grilled Vieille Rouge” dish (pictured). For starters, we took the prawn tempura and the calamari and while the taste was good, it was oily and soggy. As if it had been reheated or not drained out of its oil after having been fried. We also prefer the former plate dressing of the curry dishes as compared to the ones being used now. The stainless steel “thali” style plates don’t quite fit with the aesthetic and the “high-end/gastronomic” vibes that the restaurant gives itself. Maybe it would’ve worked if it was porcelain. In addition, the dishes aren’t even advertised as Thalis in the menu so it’s weird getting them like this. Apart from that the service is top notch. The vibes and atmosphere are great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited for dinner with the girls and had a delightful spread. Our mains included a creamy spinach lasagna, a well-prepared red vieille fish served with smooth smashed potatoes and perfectly grilled vegetables, and a juicy chicken burger that was both satisfying and flavorful. For starters, we couldn’t resist the famous Mauritian platter with samoussas, gato pima, and rissoles—crispy, authentic, and full of local flavor—along with deliciously seasoned chicken lollipops. The food overall was enjoyable, with good presentation and balanced flavors, though there’s still a little room for refinement in taste. That said, the drinks truly stood out—well mixed, refreshing, and a great complement to the meal. In terms of pricing, it is quite affordable for the quality and setting, offering good value for money. The service was prompt, attentive, and professional throughout, which added to the overall pleasant experience. Another big plus is the location—Royal Green, Moka is easily accessible, and the restaurant offers convenient parking, making the whole experience smooth and hassle-free.
