Grain d'Sel
The restaurant is a nod to Mauritian life from its name, interior design and proposed menu. ‘Sel’ means salt in French. The restaurant’s name has been inspired by the traditional salt marshes situated in Tamarin where salt has been produced for decades.
The design is modern, trendy but yet cosy, where guests may contemplate the everyday life on the island through the black and white pictures of well known local photographers on the walls. This brings a local charm to the place.
The experienced Chef has used his skills to design a menu reflecting the Mauritian cuisine. Thus the restaurant offers a menu which consists of fresh local products blended with an array of local and oriental spices.
Kindly note that there is a casual smart dresscode which applies as from 18hrs.
Capacity: 65 seats.
Smoking policy: Grain d'sel is a non smoking restaurant. However, the terrace attached to the restaurant is a smoking area.
