Château Mon Désir

In a fabulous setting in the heart of the Maritim Estate lies a colonial style mansion which is home to a fine dining restaurant, the ‘Château Mon Désir’ overlooking the 18th century 'Historical Ruins of Balaclava' and the 'Citron' river. 

It is an ideal fine dining Mauritius restaurant that has a historic colonial-style feel and tremendous cuisine influenced by French and Mauritius cooking techniques.

The restaurant lives up to the reputation of being classy all the way from its gourmet à la carte menu offering international specialities, delicacies from France and the Indian Ocean, to its rich winelist and its sublime atmosphere. The wine list here is excellent and guests should have no problem finding the perfect match for dinner.

The Chefs select the best local products and usually renew the menu with seasonal products. The Chateau Mon Desir prepares delectable cuisine with standout dishes like beef wellington, carpaccio, a subtle lobster curry and a fabulous chateaubriand.

Dessert brings an innovative crepe suzette which will melt in your mouth.

The live piano music adds up to the whole experience. If you prefer outdoor dining, the terrace offers a stunning garden view. Be ready to embark on an enchanting journey through time and gastronomy.

The restaurant has a ‘Sunday Brunch’ which offers a wide array of delicacies on a sumptuous buffet with several eggs benedict dishes, Belgian waffles, plenty of fresh baked goods and even live entertainment.
