Had a beautiful birthday dinner there last night. Food was exquisite… had to thank the chef in person… the food came out just at the right time, the atmosphere was great and we couldn’t have hoped for a better evening. We will be back again, and again… and again…
Very cosy place with outstanding service - and trust me I am very picky 🧐 working in hospitality and services most of my life. And let’s talk about their amazing cuisine, tasteful, well presented… chef’s kiss. The ruines around give this place such an amazing vibe. Really it’s a MUST ! One of my favorite places on the island 🤩💫🥹
Out of the way but worth the trip for a casual but upmarket meal. My wagyu burger, with smoky bacon, comté cheese and caramelised onions was exceptional.
My First Time at Mon Rocher 1890 – Electric Dodo Event 🎶🔥 This was my first time at Mon Rocher 1890 for an **Electric Dodo** event, and honestly, the venue is amazing— beautiful spot with a great concept and atmosphere. That said, there were a few downsides. Food and drinks took quite a long time and unfortunately one bottled drink served to me was expired (luckily, the staff agreed to replace it). Food options were quite limited, and the drink queues were very long, especially since the event was sold out. The female washroom situation was a major issue — only two small toilets, which quickly became dirty. For a sold-out event, more toilets or portable restrooms are clearly needed. On the positive side, the music was excellent— the DJs absolutely delivered, great vibes all night 🎧🔥. One frustrating point was the **backstage access**: people who paid for backstage were freely mingling in the general area, taking up space and spots. This became annoying and affected crowd comfort. There should be better access control to ensure capacity and fairness between zones. Overall, great location and music, strong concept, but logistics, service flow, toilets, and crowd management really need improvement for future events.
