Club Med La Pointe aux Canonniers
Guests are invited to lose themselves in tropical splendour, whether admiring the palm trees, taking a swim in one of four pools, or dipping a toe in a turquoise lagoon. There is no shortage of activities, whether spending a day out in the sun or dancing the night away.
ROOMS
At Club Med La Pointe aux Canonniers guests are accommodated in a series of colonial design bungalows flanked by the pristine beaches of the Indian Ocean one either. These rooms are available in a variety of styles and meet the need of every type of traveller.
With its position on the ground floor, the Club Room provides guests with garden views and in some cases ocean views. These rooms can also be joined to create an interconnected space for larger groups of travellers.
The Deluxe Room is a more upscale space where guests are free to unwind in between ocean adventures and island explorations. Enjoy the ocean view, or spend time indoors in the lounge and separate dressing area. Rooms can be connected for those travelling as families.
Blending in seamlessly with the luxury that encompasses the resort, guests of the Suites are in for a treat with each one boasting a whimsical name such as Flic en Flac, Nouvelle France and Mon Désert. The space includes a separate lounge and bedroom area as well as furnished terrace offering up nearly endless ocean views – ideal for late evenings unwinding.
The Superior Room, which will be available as of November 2018, is an open space with light wooden features that create and airy atmosphere. These rooms are able to be connected for larger families that are travelling together.

RESTAURANTS & BARS
With a design focused on emulating a colonial space, The Belle Créole offers breakfast, lunch and dinner served buffet style. Diners can enjoy a variety of international flavours and for those with little ones; the Baby Corner provides everything a parent could need to prepare food.
Under shaded palm trees, mere steps from the white sands of Mauritius, The Paul and Virginie offers a refined atmosphere where guests can enjoy a late breakfast. In the afternoon, there will be snacks on hand, however the venue truly comes to life at night with table service and reserved seating. Note this venue will close on 28 May 2018.
As of November 2018, guests can stop in at Alma Beach Lounge for a refreshing drink or light bite. The restaurant serves late breakfasts, lunch and dinner, all while diners enjoy an enchanting ocean view. Dishes include grilled fish and barbecued meat.
Of course for guests who only need a quick refreshment, there are four bars available for their leisure. The Frégate exudes elegance and is the perfect place to get to know fellow guests with a snack, cocktail or cigar. At The Dodo, which will be open until May 2018, guests can enjoy a drink with a view of the ocean or dance the night away. From November 2018, guests can a beachside treat at Blue Alma Gourmet Lounge and Bar with a selection of rum and wine that has been curated by a sommelier.
Lazuli Bar, also open from November 2018, serves all manner of healthy refreshing drinks. Guests can enjoy smoothies, hot drinks, iced teas and during the day there is a selection snacks available.
SPA
Guests who may find themselves a little worn by all the activities available or those who go on holiday to experience the utmost in relaxation can stop in at the spa for a choice of duo or single treatments. Indulge in a full body massage or opt for a skin scrub or facial to enhance that topical tan. Couples can indulge in a massage for two, especially honeymooners who want to pamper themselves, or singletons can opt to get treated with a spa and vitality package packing four treatments designed to enlighten spirits.
ACTIVITIES
Guests of Club Med La Pointe aux Canonniers will be at no shortage of things to do whether it is spending a day on the water or taking in the land based activities available.
Guests can try their hand at archery with a lesson and equipment loan, or they can head to the fitness school to indulge in a class or two. Head outside for tennis, or try some volleyball or mini football. For a slower pace guests can try a round of boules, or a leisurely game of table tennis.
However, being a beach paradise resort, there is of course a bevy of water based activities available. See the reefs with scuba diving, ride the waves with sailing, snorkel or enjoy rousing game of water polo.
Evening entertainment takes the form of dancing, cocktails and various themed evenings designed to carry the spirit of the topics late into the night.
