Albion is quite rocky and not the best destination in Mauritius for anyone who likes to swim. However, it is a very quiet destination that’s perfect for a romantic getaway.
Although Albion doesn’t have many restaurants or supermarkets, at weekends there are local vendors situated in the ample parking area selling delicious snacks and fast food. If you visit Albion beach during the week, you would be wise to bring a picnic to enjoy on the beach.
Close to Albion beach, there is an old 30 metre high lighthouse, built in 1910, which guides the ships approaching Port Louis.
