Big Foot Adventure
It proposes different Quad Biking rides in that part of the island which is well known for its preserved nature, see the back-country of Mauritius from the seat of an All-Terrain Vehicle.
Get ready for an adrenaline packed fun day and experience jaw dropping natural places like the Savanne River, Gris-Gris Cliffs, La Roche qui Pleure, Terracine, Rochester Falls, Union Forest, Léon Falls, L’Exil to mention a few.
All Quad Bikes are fully automatic and can accommodate 1 to 2 persons. The minimum age for a passenger is 6 years old. Safety equipment such as helmets are provided for all riders and must be worn at all times.
Big Foot Adventure proposes the following journeys:
Two-Hour Quad Ride
Explore the south area blessed with its endless trails, cliffs, hills, and sea by renting a quad bike. You may board a single or two person Quad bike with your friends/ family and ride on for 2 hours in this beautiful rural countryside away from the popular tourist resorts. You shall be truly amazed by the beauty of this region. This trip is 18kms long.
You will have a safety and introductory lesson at the beginning. Even if you’ve never ridden a quad bike before, you will therefore get the appropriate instructions to stay safe during your ride.
Extreme Quad Ride
This ride is for the ones who are in for an adrenaline thrill. Do you like extreme sports? Experience the freedom and fresh air as you ride on some of the country’s best off-road trails with the Big Foot team.
After an initial safety briefing, you will be asked to complete a short session in a practice area. As soon as the team at Big Foot is satisfied that you have understood the basics and have the necessary control, your instructor will lead you out on the ride of your life.
35Km Full Day
This is a full day ride that represents approximately 35km with the starting point at Andrea Lodges. You will ride along the Savanne river, and discover Gris Gris cliffs, La Roche qui Pleure and Terracine. You will also be able to visit Rochester falls. Lunch will be served in a picnic basket in a natural environment in front of the magnificent view of the Leon falls (private waterfall) where you may have a swim. After lunch you will be able to visit the Saint Aubin Estate and take part in the rum tasting. Afterwards you will visit the La Vanille Nature Park and end your trip back to Andrea Lodges passing through the Senneville bridge.
Track: Savanne River – Gris-Gris Cliffs – La Roche qui Pleure (The Crying Rock) – Terracine – Rochester Falls – Union Forest – Léon Falls – L’Exil – Lunch – Swimming in private waterfall – 1819 Estate – Senneville Bridge – Vanilla Crocodile Park – Back to Andrea Lodges.
50Km Full Day
This ride is a full day ride on an itinerary of 50km with the starting point at Saint Aubin 1819 Estate. You will explore the southern part of Mauritius (Gris Gris, cliffs, La Roche qui Pleure, Terracine, Rochester falls) and then you will go to L’Exil, where you will have lunch surrounded by a panoramic view. After lunch you can have the tea tasting and end your trip back to the starting point at the Saint Aubin Estate.
Track: Gris-Gris Cliffs – La Roche qui Pleure (The Crying Rock) – Terracine – Rochester Falls – L’Exil – Bois Sec– Bois Chérie Estate – Lunch – Tea Tasting – Back to Andrea Lodges
