Seaman Diving
Seaman Diving Centre is located at La Cuvette in the north of the island between Grand Bay and Pereybere. It is truly a unique experience to visit the underwater world, to dive in the crystal waters of the region along with the centre’s trained dive team. Newcomers are welcome to try their first dive, and the dive location is selected for the beauty of coral reefs and abundance of marine life in the shallow water.
The undersea walk is indeed an extraordinary experience where you can be amazed by marine life in a safe environment. It is suitable for non-swimmers as the helmet will enable you to breathe normally underwater at a depth of 2.5 to 3 metres; you can even wear your glasses or contact lenses. The session is guided by professionals, and an extra trainer is provided for children. The trainers are highly qualified and diving courses cover all levels of PADI and CMAS.
Jack Nirsiniloo, the director, is an experienced diver with more than 20 years of experience in diving, and his centre’s inclusive service offers exploration dives to unique locations, like reefs, and shipwrecks from hundreds of years ago, and other dive sites blessed with an abundance of marine species. Seaman Diving Centre also organises safari dives which explore the famous shark pit found near the islets of Gunner’s Coin and Flat Island.
You can also have the chance to dive at night to admire the marine life in a totally different atmosphere.
Diving is a must do activity, especially for those who enjoy marine life, and it is indeed a special opportunity to experience and to share with others.
