Pereybere is a small beach very popular with the Mauritian people, and with the youth and couples, who find it quite romantic. It has deep water, making it perfect for snorkelling. It is probably the safest beach where kids can safely swim in the crystal clear water and play on the finest white sandy beach.
When you walk along the rocks, you can see tropical fish, such as angel fish. There are many villas and apartments available for rent nearby.. It is very busy during the weekends with few available car parking spaces.
If you need shelter, you can under the concrete steps leading to the beach. If you’re hungry, there are many restaurants and bars near the beach offering all types of delicious cuisines.
You will find companies providing water sports facilities, as well as cruise excursions to visit small islands surrounding Mauritius like Coin de Mire, and Flat islands, or which offer memorable barbecues on a catamaran.
Pereybere is only a five minute drive from Grand Baie which is famous for its nightlife.
