Description
Blue Bay Marine Park, located in the southeast of Mauritius, is the island’s largest coral garden and marine life reserve. Established as an official nature reserve in 1985, it is protected to preserve its unique ecosystem.
The best way to explore this protected area is by glass-bottom boat, allowing you to observe various coral types and fish species without entering the water. Sea turtles inhabit the surrounding waters and can often be seen during the excursion.
After the boat tour, you will stop at a designated snorkeling spot to explore the clear, shallow waters. Here, you can snorkel among corals, schools of fish, and occasionally, sea turtles. The excursion concludes with a return to Blue Bay public beach.
