Description

The Tamarind Falls, located near the village of Henrietta in the Black River Gorge district, features at least seven simultaneous waterfalls sourced from the Tamarind River. The surrounding area is rich in exotic and indigenous plants, trees, and bird species, making it a popular spot for nature lovers and adventurers.

After a brief safety introduction, the hike begins with a 40-minute trail leading to the first waterfall canyon. Along this canyoning and hiking adventure, participants are immersed in natural surroundings, leaving everyday concerns behind.

The route between the first and second plateaus involves a steep descent. Here, you can jump approximately seven meters into the basin below, or use an alternative path for a safer climb-down followed by a swim in cool, clear water.

At the fifth waterfall, there are two options for descending: a five-meter jump into the basin or a controlled climb down using nearby trees and branches. An experienced guide accompanies participants for safety. After descending, you can swim in the lagoon-like basin at the foot of the waterfall.

The hike concludes at the top of the seventh waterfall, offering expansive views over the lush canyon. The drop from this waterfall to its basin is about 60 meters. Those comfortable with heights can safely observe the drop from a prone position near the edge.
