Description
Begin your day with pickup from your accommodation and head toward the central highlands to explore the natural beauty of Mauritius South. Your first stop is Trou aux Cerfs, a dormant volcanic crater offering wide views over the island. The peaceful setting and cool air make it a perfect beginning to your nature tour.
Continue to Mare aux Vacoas, the largest reservoir in Mauritius. This calm viewpoint is surrounded by tall forest trees and offers a quiet moment beside the still waters. Your journey then leads to Alexandra Falls, where you can admire a beautiful waterfall framed by lush valley landscapes.
A short drive further brings you to Bassin Blanc, a deep volcanic crater lake with striking dark-blue water. This viewpoint is easy to access and ideal for taking photos before continuing through a lush forest scenic route. This peaceful highland drive features dense native vegetation, cooler temperatures and a sense of untouched wilderness.
Arrive next at the Black River Gorges Viewpoint, one of the most impressive panoramas in Mauritius. From here, you can see the island’s largest national park, deep green valleys and dramatic mountain scenery stretching into the distance.
Your descent toward the west coast brings you to the Chamarel Scenic Viewpoint, overlooking the turquoise lagoon, Le Morne Brabant and Île aux Bénitiers. This panoramic stop is one of the most photographed sights on the island and a highlight of the tour.
Around midday, enjoy a relaxing break with lunch at Sugar Restaurant in La Gaulette.
Lunch includes a Creole set menu at Sugar Restaurant.
The restaurant offers a friendly local atmosphere and a comfortable place to enjoy a freshly prepared meal.
After lunch, follow the coastal road to the famous Macondé Viewpoint, known for its dramatic cliffside bend and breathtaking ocean scenery. This is a popular photo stop and a favourite among travellers exploring the south coast.
Your final stop is the La Prairie lagoon viewpoint, a peaceful beach area with shallow turquoise water facing Le Morne Brabant. The calm lagoon setting provides a relaxing end to your day before your driver takes you back to your accommodation.
