Description
Your day begins at Trou aux Cerfs, an extinct volcanic crater offering panoramic views of Mauritius. Next, visit Grand Bassin (Ganga Talao), a peaceful spiritual lake surrounded by temples and statues.
Then enter Black River Gorges National Park and stop at Black River Viewpoint to see expansive green valleys and mountain landscapes. Afterwards, visit the Rhumerie de Chamarel for a guided tour and rum tasting. If you prefer, choose an alternative visit to Bois Chéri Tea Factory to discover Mauritian tea and enjoy a tasting.
You will continue to Chamarel Waterfall, where you can experience the cool mist as water plunges into the forest below. The tour concludes at the Seven Coloured Earths in Chamarel, known for its vividly colored sand dunes (entrance fee not included).
