Start your journey with convenient pickup from your accommodation in Mauritius and relax in a comfortable car on the drive to Port Louis. Visit Fort Adelaide, a 19th-century British-built military fortress which features a walled courtyard and panoramic city views.
Head to the Central Market of Port Louis where you can venture through stalls offering wide range of clothing, souvenirs, local vegetables, and exotic spices. Have the option purchase a tasty ‘Dholl Puri,’ a flatbread stuffed with lightly spiced yellow split peas/yellow gram accompanied with vegetable curry.
Buy a refreshing and milky glass of the special ‘Alouda’ drink. Continue your excursion at the splendid Caudan Waterfront, an ideal place for shopping and the only harbor in Mauritius.
After Port Louis, visit the beautiful Pamplemousses Botanical Garden (at your own expense), home to an incredible variety of both indigenous and foreign tropical plants. Soak up the tranquility of this lush environment.
Make your way to the “L'Aventure Du Sucre,” a sugar factory museum (own expense), where you can discover the history of sugar production in Mauritius and taste some local products. Travel along northeast coast via Grand Baie.
stop at Cap Malheureux, a village located in the Rivière du Rempart district to see the Red Church, a Roman Catholic Church famous for its vivid red roof which shines against the bright turquoise sea. Take in views of Coin de mire island before returning to your accommodation in the early evening.
