Description
Mauritius is home to several remarkable waterfalls to explore. This approximately five-hour tour takes you through the island’s southwestern region to admire, photograph, or swim in four iconic waterfalls. You can also enjoy a peaceful lunch at Le Chamarel Restaurant, located on a mountaintop with panoramic views of the Southwest.
The journey follows several watercourses from the central plateau to the southern coast. Tamarin Falls features seven cascades side-by-side within a lush jungle setting. You will ascend a switchback road through Black River Gorges National Park to reach Alexandra Falls. The tour continues to Chamarel Waterfall, one of the tallest on the island, and then to Rochester Falls, where you can get close to its unusual rock formations.
After the waterfalls, Le Chamarel Restaurant offers traditional Mauritian cuisine in a shaded dining room with scenic views. Your licensed and insured private driver will ensure safe transportation between locations and back to your accommodation. The tour concludes with a visit to Gris Gris, a wild southern beach area with a secret waterfall and a natural pool.
