Description
Start your day by boarding a boat to meet the wild dolphins off the Black River coast. Learn about their behavior and sustainable interaction practices before swimming with the dolphins, assisted by experienced skippers.
Time permitting, enjoy snorkeling at a nearby site renowned for coral gardens and tropical fish.
Next, visit Trou aux Cerfs volcano, located 2,000 feet above sea level. Walk around its crater and take in panoramic views of Mauritius on clear days.
Continue to Grand Bassin, a sacred lake with temples and shrines. See the 108-foot Shiva statue and climb the highest temple for additional views. Look for local wildlife, including resident monkeys.
Drive through the park to Plaine des Champagnes, stopping at Alexandra Falls. End at Chamarel to see the geological phenomenon of the Seven Colored Earths and the Chamarel Falls waterfall. Meet a giant tortoise before the return transfer to your hotel.

- The tour lasts up to 7 hours. Time at attractions is flexible except for the dolphin encounter, which is about 2.5 hours. Depending on your group’s pace, some stops may be skipped.
- Dolphin encounters are not guaranteed 100%.
- Lunch is not included and is at your own expense.
- Visits to Grand Bassin may be unavailable in February or March due to the Mahashivaratree festival.
- If staying on the north side of the island, pickup will be slightly earlier.
