Description

Begin your day with a warm welcome aboard a comfortable, spacious catamaran departing from Grand Baie. As you cruise across the open sea, feel the breeze on your face and take in stunning views of the Mauritian coastline. The crew will be on hand to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey, providing refreshments and commentary as you head north toward the islands. Set sail on a full-day catamaran cruise to three of the most stunning islets off the northern coast of Mauritius, Gabriel Island, Flat Island, and Gunner’s Quoin. This 7-hour tropical adventure is perfect for sea lovers, snorkelers, and those looking to experience the untouched beauty of Mauritius beyond the mainland. First stop is Gabriel Island, a small, preserved islet known for turquoise lagoon. It's the perfect spot to sunbathe, swim. The shallow waters are ideal for a relaxing dip, and the surrounding reef offers great visibility for snorkeling. Next, head to Flat Island, the largest of the northern islets. With wide open spaces, clear waters, and a wilder feel, Flat Island is a favorite among nature lovers and photographers. Stroll along the shores, enjoy a swim, or explore the rocky edges for unique coastal views. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch, cooked and served by your boat’s crew. Indulge in a delicious spread of grilled fish, chicken, chicken sausages, garlic bread, fresh salads, and flambéed bananas. Complement your meal with a refreshing selection of beverages, including soft drinks, beer, and Mauritian rum. While landings are not permitted at Gunner’s Quoin due to its protected status, the boat will cruise close enough for you to admire its dramatic cliffs and seabird colonies. This steep, jagged island is a sanctuary for native birds and offers a unique contrast to the flatter beaches of the other islets. If you're lucky, the open waters around the northern islands may reward you with sightings of dolphins, whales, rays, or sea turtles. These moments are never guaranteed, but they happen often enough to make the experience truly thrilling when they do.
