Description

After hotel pickup, the tour starts in Port Louis, Mauritius’s capital and main harbour established in the 17th century by French colonists. You will stroll through the streets and visit Central Market, where aromas and colors reflect local life.

The next stop is Caudan Waterfront, a commercial area on a small peninsula featuring historic buildings now housing select restaurants and shops. You will then visit Fort Adelaide, a colonial black stone citadel overlooking the city.

After some free time for a relaxing lunch at a carefully chosen local spot, the tour continues to the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, known for its collection of giant water lilies and botanical diversity dating back more than 200 years.

The final destination is Château de Labourdonnais, a restored 1774 hacienda with sugar cane plantations and fruit gardens. You will tour the colonial-era halls and sample rum and other products made on site.

The tour concludes with a return to your hotel approximately seven hours after pickup.
