Review of Voila Hotel I was not supposed to stay at this hotel. But I’m glad I did. I was originally meant to stay at Le Suffren, but fortunately it was fully booked. So the receiving party booked me here instead — which means I had absolutely no expectations going in. Arrival: I arrived after dark following a long and tiring flight. I stepped out of the car and found a modest but welcoming lobby. Check-in was fast. The room: Not a large room, but clean and well organised. I had a mountain view — it was lovely to wake up to in the morning. After checking in I took a shower: excellent water pressure and great water quality. Dinner: I went down for dinner and discovered that the hotel is connected directly to a mall with a wide variety of restaurants. A very pleasant surprise — plenty of choice for every cuisine. The night: The hotel is situated in a very quiet area. No noise whatsoever. I woke up feeling fresh. Morning: Up at 6:30 and straight to the gym. It’s a small one — two treadmills, an elliptical, a rowing machine, dumbbells, ab equipment and several mats. Compact but functional. One nice detail: when I turned on the AC it wasn’t blowing directly at me, so I could use the elliptical in complete comfort. Breakfast: Small selection, but everything I needed was there. What truly impressed me were the fried eggs. I asked for two sunny side up — and what arrived was remarkable. The egg whites were perfectly white, cooked without any oil, not overdone, not underdone. Exactly what I wanted. To be honest, this is the first time in over 16 years of non-stop travel around the world that I have seen anything like it. And the next morning? Exactly the same quality. Bravo — well done! The feeling: In the restaurant and the compact lobby you feel genuinely at home. Comfortable, relaxed, at ease. That feeling stays with you. A final note: The next day I went for lunch at Le Suffren — it was nice, but the feeling was different. And that confirmed it: I was happy they had been fully booked. Next time I will definitely stay at Voila again.
I had a pleasant stay at Voila Hotel during my visit to Mauritius. The location is very convenient, especially since it is situated near a shopping mall, which made it easy for us to access restaurants, stores, and essentials. The main city is a bit far, but the peaceful surroundings make up for it. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, creating a relaxing atmosphere throughout the stay. The hotel staff maintained good hygiene standards, which I really appreciated. The food was also good, with nice taste and quality. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I would recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a calm stay with good facilities.
Nice stay, clean hotel, nice views, polite staff, car park very handy, location is great for me. Shopping mall linked to hotel. Food court and shops nice. One suggestion is the need for net curtain or privacy glass. When curtains open during day passers by can see through glass and hence privacy compromised. Breakfast repetitive and can be boring as i stayed for ten nights. Will stay again in future.
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Voila Bagatelle. The hotel is conveniently located, and the staff, especially the reception team, are exceptionally friendly and professional. The employees truly made my experience pleasant. However, I believe there is some room for improvement in the areas of attention to detail and cleanliness. Overall, it’s a good hotel with a welcoming atmosphere, and I would consider returning in the future fort a quick short business stay.
