Amazing hotel, care and hospitality! We were provided a beautiful room with a lovely beach view. Special mention fo the reception staff - Dev, Devina, Jhanvee and Medha for their warmth and care. Also, Yushika from FnB was very sweet. Highly recommend this place.
Overall, I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. I stayed in Room 222, and it was by far one of the best hotel rooms I’ve experienced. It was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. The rooftop pool was absolutely amazing—definitely a 10/10 The dinner and breakfast were both very good, with a nice selection of food, and I’d rate them 8/10. There are just a couple of areas that could be improved. The bar was advertised to close at 11:30 p.m., but it had already closed by 11:00 p.m., which was a bit disappointing. Also, the lunch buffet was quite limited, offering only two choices for starters, two main courses, and one dessert. A wider variety would make the lunch experience much better.
I recently spent a night here with my girlfriend on an all-inclusive package, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The staff were truly amazing—very caring, attentive, and always ready to help. From the reception to the restaurant, everyone was kind and welcoming. The food was excellent (10/10), both in taste and presentation. Everything was well-prepared and beautifully served. The bar service was also outstanding—special thanks to Mr. Suraj, the barman, who made us feel especially comfortable and welcomed. The room was spotless and very well maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only downside is that the hotel could benefit from some renovation, as certain areas feel a bit outdated. Overall, I would rate my experience 9.5/10 and would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing stay.
At first glance, the front of Ocean V Hotel may not make the best impression. When we arrived by bus and saw the building from the street, we were honestly a bit worried. However, nothing could be further from the truth — this hotel turned out to be absolutely wonderful. Our room was very spacious, with a comfortable and well-sized bathroom. Everything was kept in excellent condition, and the room was cleaned twice a day, which we truly appreciated. One of the biggest highlights of this hotel is the rooftop on the third floor. You reach it by elevator, and the moment the doors open, you are greeted by a breathtaking ocean view. It truly takes your breath away. On the rooftop, there is both a bar and the hotel restaurant, where we had our breakfasts and dinners. The service there is simply exceptional. From pulling out chairs, placing napkins on our laps, to constantly taking care of every small detail — we were treated like royalty. One waiter even told us that since we were on holiday, we should not pour water ourselves, and that he would happily take care of it for us. This level of attention and kindness was truly special. The food deserves special recognition. The quality is outstanding — comparable to top-class restaurants. The presentation is beautiful, the flavors are excellent, and every meal felt like a fine dining experience. Breakfasts were served as a buffet, beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. Dinners were à la carte and equally impressive. The drinks at the bar were also very well prepared and enjoyable. Although the hotel is not located directly on the beach, the beach is just across the street and only about a five-minute walk away. It is a public beach, but absolutely stunning and very beautiful — definitely a big advantage of this location. Another great benefit is the proximity to Grand Baie, which is only a few minutes away by taxi. It is a charming town with lovely shops, restaurants, and a great atmosphere. The entire staff at Ocean V is incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They were always ready to assist us with ordering taxis, giving advice on excursions, and recommending places to visit. We always felt well taken care of. We would also like to mention the fantastic hotel manager, who is very visible, approachable, and genuinely involved in making sure guests have a great stay. His presence and dedication truly make a difference. Ocean V is not a large beach resort, but it is a hotel that absolutely deserves recognition for its quality, service, and atmosphere. It offers comfort, excellent food, stunning views, and outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return in the future. It was a truly wonderful start to our stay in Mauritius. 💙
