Nativ Lodge & Spa
Mahebourg is a bustling centre of local trade and it has a wonderful new seafront where you can have a very pleasant walk. There is a big market in the town on Mondays which is worth visiting. There is also a naval museum and the Rault biscuit factory, both of which are very interesting.
This is a 4-star hotel and you will be impressed by the facilities and the helpfulness of the staff.
Rooms
There are eight lodges available, each of which has been decorated in a contemporary and minimalist style. Each lodge has a colour and theme related to the landscape of Mauritius. There used to be a lime kiln on the site and the stones from this have been used on the walls of all the rooms.
The lodges are all 40m2. There is a master bedroom, a lounge, and a bathroom. The lounges all overlook a private garden with sun loungers, while the prestige lodges have a private pool. All lodges have air conditioning.
Linen and towels are provided and the rooms are cleaned daily.

Restaurant
The restaurant seats 70 people and opens out to the river and to the beautiful gardens of the hotel. It is the perfect place to enjoy a meal in the open air. Breakfast is included in the price of your room, while lunch and dinner are optional extras.
The food is all fresh and tasty. The fruit and vegetables come from the gardens and the local market, while the fish is freshly caught.
There is a mixture of cuisines here; both local and international. You could have a vegetarian curry or instead a chicken confit with lemon and coriander.
There is also a bar/lounge.
The Spa
Discover a unique spa setting on the bank of the river. Enjoy a massage, pedicure, manicure, or fish spa.
Activities
There is a swimming pool here and free kayaking on the La Chaux river. At an extra cost you can book river or sea trips in a traditional fishing boat or have a guided excursion to the market.
Every Monday there is a traditional cookery class and on Fridays from 9.30 p.m., you can learn Latin dancing.
There are also kite surfing lessons on offer. In fact, from May until September you can book a package including both accommodation and kite surfing lessons.
If you enjoy walking, you can go out with a country guide who will take you on a trail to the Mauritian mountains.

There is free Wi-Fi at the hotel and also free parking should you want to hire a car.
