Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa is a four star venue found along the Northern coast of Mauritius. The atmosphere is a decadent vibe of modern amenities, Mediterranean features, and tropical charm providing a cosy corner to explore the island from.

ROOMS

The ground floor location allows guests instant access to the rest of the resort, while the pink and green theme echoes the tropical location. Made for honeymooners, the light and airy Suite creates a secret haven with its rooftop setting and all white interior. The 75 square metre room brings romance alive with a four poster bed, and an en-suite bathroom boasting a walk-in shower, as well as a large bathtub. In the lounge, guests can unwind or take in the view from the terrace on one of the sun loungers available.

Ideal for large families, the Apartment is a modern 70 square metre space decked out in wooden touches and tropically themed art. Parents are allowed a private moment in the main bedroom with its en-suite bathroom, and there is also a second bedroom for little owns with its own bathroom. Unwind on the large terrace space, or explore the garden and the private pool saved exclusively for the use of apartment guests in its village-like setting.

Measuring 70 square metres, the Loft is the picture of modernity and luxury finished with sleek furniture and sunshine bathed spaces. The en-suite bathroom carries offers a shower, and two sinks, ideal for each guest to have their own space to get ready. Unwind on the king-sized four poster bed, located in the first floor bedroom along with the intimate lounge area. Downstairs, there is a second room where children can create their own private holiday space. The best part of the loft is that it is located centrally to all the activities of the hotel including the swimming pool.

Standing out as the pinnacle of luxury at Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa, the Villa provides and ample 160 square metres of space in a holiday home setting complete with private plunge pool and garden, where guests can enjoy the outdoors in total privacy. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, wardrobe and bathtub. In the second room, the design is oriented specifically for little ones, but it still offers an en-suite bathroom for them too.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

Touted as the main restaurant of the resort, Les Quais overlooks the swimming pool while offering spacious seating for up to 500 diners. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and diners can expect a large buffet selecting with flavours from all over the world. The décor makes guests feel as though they eating at a marina wharf, with white ceilings, wooden decks, roofed terraces and cooking stations shaped like the hull of a boat – a truly nautical experience.

Diners in the mood for a seafood spread can head to Le Nautic for lunch or dinner six days a week. The split level design of the venue can seat up to 100 diners, while décor focuses on elegance with white finishes and splashes of wood. Each terrace faces the ocean, providing a dinner experience bathed in the warm glow of a Mauritian sunset.

For those in need for something a little more relaxed, the Bay Watch Bar overlooks the swimming pool and is a popular place to meet fellow guests. Indulge in a cocktail for a light snack, tuck into the selection of sandwiches and pancakes available. At night, guests can enjoy the live entertainment available.

SPA

Built with true relaxation in mind, the Spa is a tranquil Mediterranean haven where guests can indulge in a bevy of treatments. Ten cabins are linked around a central courtyard featuring a reflecting pool. The pool sits on a wooden deck, surrounded by white fabric outdoor chairs, perfect for relaxing in between massages. Inside the cabins, guests will find an Asian theme with glass fibre roofs, making the interior feel like a tent complimented by wood and stone.

ACTIVITIES

Guests of Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa are never at a loss for things to do, whether it is staying active or simply languishing under the Mauritian sun.

Starting with the sports centre, guests can work up an appetite or work on their fitness with cardio training. Of course guests are also welcome to unwind in the sauna or hammam.

Keeping with the fitness theme, there’s also a bevy of outdoor activities available including tennis, volley ball, table tennis and mountain biking.

However, a tropical holiday is all for naught without exploring the water activities on offer. From the boathouse, guests can try their hand at sailing, snorkelling, kayaking or pedal boats to name but a few of the adventures available.

And at night, guests can slip into their boogie shoes to dance the night away at La Rhumerie, the resort’s in-house discothèque.
