Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge
This eco-lodge is surrounded with lush gardens in every corner, suites with private swimming pools, open concept buildings, and has the most breathtaking views of nature and the western lagoon alike.
The Rooms
There are 20 rooms in total including 7 bedrooms and 13 suites to choose from in this exclusive resort. Purposefully they have limited the number of accommodations to ensure you can have a peaceful and quiet experience while staying here. Each room has their own terrace which opens into a beautiful garden and an open concept bathroom with outdoor showers.
There are 5 unique room types each with different characteristics.
The Standard rooms are the Lakaz at 50 square meters and the Kaz at 60 square meters. Each of these are designed for 2 guests and have beautiful walls made of both wood and concrete. The flooring is of rough stone mixed with tiles and decorative squares giving it the perfect natural feel.
If you want a bit more space the Garden Pool Suite with 95 square meters and the Sea View Pool Suite with 110 square meters both made for 2 adults have their own private swimming pool and gazebo.
The Exclusive Suite is 120 square meters and is made for the best private lodge experience for 2. Overlooking the ocean from the top of the mountain it’s the perfect place to relax without any distractions. It also has its own private pool and plenty spaces outside to sunbathe or relax in the shade. Free appetizers are served every evening including pastries, fruit and drinks.
All lodges are equipped with mosquito nets, bathrobes, coffee and tea, hair dryer, free wifi, sound system, and much more.

Restaurants and Bars
Many incredible Mauritian entrees are available for meals with many fresh products grown by the staff onsite at the resort. Breakfast is served every morning with mostly American style food for you. The great thing is if you wake up earlier than when the buffet is served feel free to ask the chef and they’ll cater for you earlier.
For lunch they offer an a la carte style menu or they also suggest to head to the local village 10 minutes’ walk away to try some amazing food options.
For dinner they offer options for appetizers, starters, main entrees, and delicious desserts in buffet or barbecue style depending on days.
They also have a beautiful bar with outdoor seating which offers many great cocktails and wine options for you to relax while admiring nature all around.
Spa and Wellness
Yoga sessions are offered to all guests including private sessions on request. These are done in the silent space hidden in a nature surrounded area. You can enjoy the sauna on request to the staff at anytime to detox your body.
If you want to truly relax, head to their wellness hut in the middle of the property which has beautiful song birds to chirp you to sleep while you get a relaxing massage.
Activities
There are swimming pools available onsite for you to cool off from the heat of the sun. Pool towels are given daily in your room. There is a library available with a variety of books for guests to use during their stay. If you forgot anything, the shop is available daily near the reception in case you need a nice shirt to dress up for a romantic dinner.
Movies are available upon request to play in your rooms for a relaxing evening in.
If you want an adventure, take out one of their bikes free of charge to explore the area with just a 5-minute ride to the west coast. There are also high peaks, valleys and a waterfall to discover with or without a guide.
