Had a lovely time at La Pirogue, spent my honeymoon here and not only were they very accommodating, welcoming but also very kind and always providing a high level of service. The resort itself was beautiful and is everything you could ask for. The food was absolutely delicious considering I’m very picky and they had different types of cuisine/specials available each day. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to come for their honeymoon or even with family. Catered to my needs such as halal and also gave us plenty of surprises during our stay. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm hospitality, professionalism, and attention to every detail. They were always attentive, friendly, and ensured that everything was perfect throughout our meal. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Every dish was prepared to perfection, and the variety offered something for everyone. The drinks were equally impressive, expertly prepared, refreshing, and complemented the meal perfectly. Jimmy, Vikash, and Aksara truly went above and beyond to make our evening special. Their excellent service, positive attitude, and dedication to customer satisfaction are a true credit to La Pirogue. Wow!! What a beautiful place. I was fortunate to be upgraded to a beach bure making it extra special. A stunning long lagoon beach, fringed with perfect white sand, outer reef for diving. There is lots of space so no one feels crowded, lots private space on the beach. Lovely swimming pool surrounded by several restaurants and cafes whether you prefer cafe, buffet or à la carte. Lots of choice. Can also walk next door to Sugar Beach resort with reciprocal facilities although I didn’t feel the need to do this. Plenty of free activities plus alternatives for boating, fishing and diving.
We had a great stay and really enjoyed our vacation at La Pirogue. One of the biggest highlights was the wide range of complimentary water activities. We loved using the kayaks and stand-up paddleboards almost every day. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The only downside was the number of insects, especially in the evenings, but that’s probably something to expect in a tropical destination. The buffet restaurant was good, with a decent variety of food. However, the lunches at Magenta were outstanding. The fresh fish was excellent, and the desserts were absolutely delicious. A very special thank to Kamla, who took such great care of us during our lunches. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always made us feel at home. Our son absolutely loved her, and she made our stay even more memorable. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mauritius.
We had a wonderful 7-night stay at La Pirogue and can highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean every day, the entire resort has a beautiful atmosphere, and especially in the evenings the ambience is simply stunning. The combination of the tropical setting, the lighting, and the relaxed vibe made every evening very special. What truly made our stay outstanding, however, was the excellent service. A special thank you goes to Dya and Nirmal, who were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always made sure we felt welcome and well taken care of. Their professionalism and warm attitude really made a difference and added a personal touch to our holiday. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay such a memorable experience. We would definitely love to come back!
