La Maison d’Été
La Maison d’Ete is never crowded as it has a relatively small number rooms on offer. The staff are helpful, attentive, and professional, and they do their outmost to make your stay a good one.
ROOMS
There are just 16 rooms at La Maison d’Ete which are divided into two groups of eight. Each section has its own garden and a pool.
The sea and the ocean rooms all have a private terrace and direct access to both the pool and the beach. The La Vigie room is set on an unspoilt beach and is a larger room than the others.
All rooms have air conditioning, a mini fridge, and a TV.
RESTAURANTS & BAR
There are two restaurants at La Maison d’Ete. Breakfast is included in the cost of your room, while lunch and dinner are at extra cost.
The main restaurant is beautiful and is situated under a palm roof, with wicker and wooden furniture. The dishes here are all inspired by Mauritian cuisine and the speciality is freshly caught seafood. On Sunday there is a traditional Mauritian buffet lunch which is well worth going to especially if you want to taste the food of the island.
The second restaurant is right at the edge of the ocean where you can eat barefoot. If you want a romantic dinner for two with special service, this can be arranged.
The hotel also has a lounge bar where you can have delicious cocktails and Mauritian tapas.
SPA
If you need to relax and recharge your batteries, head to the spa. Here there are massages and body treatments on offer. Try body peeling, relaxing ylang ylang, lymphatic drainage, or reflexology. You are bound to come out feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
GOLF
The hotel can arrange for you to go to any of three golf courses in the vicinity, the Legend or the Links in Belle-Mare, or the Anahita course close to Trou d’eau Douce.
ACTIVITIES
Snorkels, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards are provided free of charge for hotel guests.
In addition, activities at extra cost can be arranged. Why not visit the beautiful Pamplemousses garden or go zip lining. Visit the Musee du Sucre, a museum dedicated to the country’s connection with sugar.
An exciting day out is a visit to the island Ile d’Ambre. You will sail in an authentic pirogue listening to the rhythms of seggae, which is a combination of sega and reggae. You can discover the island and then have a barbecued lunch on the beach.
Alternatively, take a trip on a catamaran, go big game fishing, swim with the dolphins, or dive with qualified instructors.
If you like to keep your feet firmly on the ground, tennis can be arranged at the Tennis Club du Nord-Labourdonnais. Visit the Labourdonnais mansion and have a guided tour with one of the family members.
The hire of mountain bikes is included in the price of your room.
OTHER FACILITIES
There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
