A big thank you to Emily and the entire staff team for being so welcoming and friendly.. you all made us feel right at home❤️Everything was wonderful, the only small note would be to keep the dogs away from the rooms at night/early morning as they can sometimes interrupt sleep.
Fantastic location, friendly staff and just pure bliss. Best nights sleep we had in the comfy bed in quite some time whilst on the island. Would 100% rebook this for much longer next time we visit.
The views and pool are beautiful which is why people will book this place. The breakfast is pretty good. We had bats in our roof which kept us awake all night and when we told staff they just said yeah you have bats. I know its nature but there's got to be a way to prevent this happening. It really made it difficult to sleep. We also had cockroaches in our room which I do understand the climate but still unpleasant. Also no effort from the outside areas to control mosquitos like you could not sit by the pool past 4pm. The location is very out the way which is great for the views but we did not know that none of the nearby restaurants open past lunch time meaning we had to either eat at the hotel or go to the towns a 15 min (difficult) drive away. We hotel food is overpriced. I think this place is nice and scenic and its not all the fault of the owners about the issues raised but think people should be aware of it.
Shower towel was stained and dirty. Had some brown stuffs on it. Towel was nicely folded on the bed, not sure how the cleaning staff missed out on that. The pillow case same thing, face up was stained with black mark. Breakfast portion was shocking, I ordered the chicken liver, extremely little portion on a toast. Very salty too. Glass served to us had lipstick stains on the glass. When we went to the pool to chill, all the staffs was seen sitting there on their phones not one of them stood up to welcome us or ask if we neeeded anything, drinks etc. not even a hello. We got our own cushions for the sunbed. Shocking. Location though was amazing, extremely beautiful. The greenery outstanding. Just a shame though to have to pay this price for such pour service and cleanliness.
I spent six absolutely wonderful days at Chamarel Mountain Chalets in Mauritius. The atmosphere is so beautiful, so thoughtfully designed—every element has been created with impeccable taste. Everywhere I looked was clean, elegant, and filled with charm—there’s a sense of peace and greenery that calms you instantly. The service is very good, with every staff member being so kind, so attentive, and truly mindful. The rooms are spotless, stylish annd super cozy. And most of all, the people make this place unforgettable. Mr. Andrew and his wife have poured their heart into this villa—they are incredibly warm, generous, and devoted to offering a top-notch experience. I’d also like to mention Karishma at the reception—she was so kind, helpful, and made every interaction a joy. This is a place I will wholeheartedly recommend—it’s a perfect blend of beauty, taste, and heartfelt hospitality.
