Incredible, what a lovely place! So close to the 7 colours and Ebony Forest which were amazing to walk around. The views from the Chalet were beautiful in both directions, looking west you had the Indian Ocean and east you had a never ending forest. The drive up was a bit windy and remote but was well worth it!! It was perfect for a 3 night stay as it is in the middle of nowhere but plenty of things to do in those days. Kevin was lovely in the restaurant and the food was really nice especially the breakfast.
Magnificent location overlooking Le Morne and reef area from the mountain. Stayed in the senior suite chalet with own pool. Lack of privacy with people hanging around late evening which was not even staying at the chalets. Lack of detail in the chalet. No Nespresso coffee pots and refills done. After requesting some from housekeeping still nothing. Dinner was good not great although we requested and paid for a seafood dinner at a big extra cost. The winner was the breakfast which was very good. Service at the restaurant very good, but for the rest not very good. My stay there 7 years ago was much better. Great location, but so do many other places in Mauritius.
Chalets Chamarel is an absolute dream. Waking up to those breathtaking mountain and ocean views was unforgettable, and the private chalets are beautiful. What truly made our stay special was the incredible staff-they are genuinely warm., attentive, and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The manager, Mr Nirmal, went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay. He is incredibly attentive, approachable, and runs the property with absolute class. His hospitality really made us feel valued and right at home. The perfect peaceful getaway. We can't wait to return.
Great escape from everything. We booked the senior suite and apart from a bumpy road which leads to the Chalet, everything went smoothly. The suite was exquisite, the view magical and the service was top notch. Specially from Mrs. Daniela, Mr. Daniel at the restaurant and Mr. Jeremie at the reception. High standards quality service which matches the unique view. Would not recommend taking a small car to go there though
I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband to celebrate my birthday, and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and the place itself is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a getaway. The staff were attentive and made sure our stay went smoothly from start to finish. The food was delicious, with great quality and taste throughout our stay. A special mention to the team for the lovely surprise birthday cake, which was a thoughtful touch and made my birthday even more special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm and memorable stay.
