▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬★ Etana ★▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Etana’s name means “The Strong One” in Swahili, and it’s a title she more than lives up to with her music and presence. Since debuting in 2006 with the thought provoking single “Wrong Address,” the Jamaican-born singer has established herself as one of the most powerful and distinctive voices in reggae, blazing a new trail in a genre that has long been male-dominated.
Etana’s story begins in August Town, a treacherous but culturally rich garrison community in eastern Kingston that has produced such musical talents as Sizzla and Israel Vibration. Growing up, Etana’s home was filled with music, but it was country and western that she recalls leaving the biggest impression. “Every Sunday was country music day,” says Etana. “A lot of people in Jamaica play gospel music on a Sunday, or old rub-a-dub. In my house it was country, like Dolly Parton. Tammy Wynette was my favorite of all the artists my mom used to play.” Etana discovered her talent at the age of 6 while singing at home in the backyard for her aunt. Her charming voice beaconed an huge audience of neighbors who gathered to here “little Shauna” sing. Etana’s backyard singing led to microphones of local sound systems playing in the neighborhood and thats where he love of music began.
VP Records, recognized Etana’s talents. In 2008, the label released her debut LP, The Strong One. The album, which combined Etana’s reggae sound with aspects of R&B and world music, was embraced by fans as well as the music industry, landing the singer a nomination in the “best reggae” category at the MOBO Awards in England.
After several years touring around the world, Etana returned in 2011 with her second album Free Expressions. The set included the hit “People Talk,” which detailed Etana’s own experiences facing skepticism as a woman in the music industry, as well as favorites like “Free,” an emotional tear-jerker written from Etana’s personal experience of the violent, horrific nature of her community, having to endure days of no sleep unable to go home because of a turf war and fears of being killed in the cross fire. “August Town” a track written in hopes of reuniting her community and “Heart Broken.” The latter song topped Natty B ' s chart in the UK for three consecutive weeks. 2011 also saw Etana return to her country roots with a cover of Patsy Cline’s “Crazy” on the VP Records compilation Reggae Gone Country. Her rendition of Cline’s country classic was praised as one of the standout tracks on an LP that featured such reggae luminaries as Beres Hammond and Luciano.
In 2013, Etana partnered with producer Shane Brown for her third LP, A Better Tomorrow, recorded at Kingston’s legendary Tuff Gong Studios. The album brough tEtana back to reggae’s foundation via vintage sounds and one-drop rhythms, earning praise from the Associated Press for its “mature and confident sound,” “top-notch lyrical content” and “unique vocals.” The same year, Etana held her own at the IRAWMA (International Reggae and World Music Awards) in Coral Springs, Florida. She hosted the annual ceremony and took home the award for Best Female Vocalist. Marcia Griffiths, Queen Ifrica, Allison Hinds, Patrice Roberts and Nkulee Dube were also nominated in this category.
Inspiring others is nothing new for Etana. From the outset of her career with “Wrong Address”—a track which led many to re-evaluate how they look at others from different socio-economic backgrounds—she has been instigating change. Four albums into her career, Etana has become a role model in Jamaica with her message and action. Etana has used her success in music to create a charity organization in Jamaica “Strong One Foundation” where she helps teenage mother’s and girls who's been abused to receive counseling, regain strength and financial support to continue their education. Etana has also continued touring since the release of her I Rise album and is currently in studio recording her fifth studio album.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬★ Gregor Salto ★▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
DJ and producer Gregor Salto has been dominating the Dutch club scene for over a decade with his original dance music. Tracks like ‘Mas Que Nada’, ‘Paris Luanda’ and ‘Damelo’ seem to underline Salto’s identity as a Latin House artist, but a closer look shows his interest in Pop, Soul, African and World music. He is constantly seeking to cross existing boundaries and take on new challenges, all the while with a fixed eye on the ever changing international dance scene. “I’m known for being quite versatile”, says Gregor.
Mr Salto is not afraid to expand his horizon and successfully started working with other artists. His track with Pitbull, “Echa Pa’lla”, was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Best Urban Song, and he was happy to share a Grammy with Pitbull in the category Best performance. Earlier this year they already received an ASCAP Award (American Association of Composers, Authors & Publishers) for this song. Salto’s unrivalled productiveness has made him an extremely popular remixer. The Gregor Salto remix for Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’ was included late last year on the deluxe version of her latest album ‘Unapologetic’. Further he has delivered remixes for pop stars like J‐Lo, Rita Ora, Skunk Anansie, India Arie and George Micheal and djs like Nicky Romero, Axwell, Bob Sinclar and Roger Sanchez.
He has released tracks with most Dutch superstar DJ’s and his own tracks kept him in the top ranks as one of Holland’s most in demand DJ’s and producers while spreading his fame throughout the globe.
Gregor got infected by the house virus when he heard Royal House’s classic anthem ‘Can You Party’ at a school dance. “It was so different from everything else I’d heard before”, explains the Haarlem born DJ. “It just sounded so impressive on the dance floor.” After some years of experimenting on his dad’s Commodore Amiga computer, he debuted at eighteen years old with the 12“ vinyl ‘Pangaea’ on a sub - label of Amsterdam’s legendary Outland Records.
It would take a decade of hard work before Gregor had his first big break. In 2004, ‘Can’t stop Playing’, a catchy house tune produced with Dr. Kucho, skyrocketed the Dutch top 40 and remained there for more than two months. ‘Can’t Stop Playing’ marked the beginning of an ongoing roller coaster ride through Dutch club land, bringing him everywhere from the smallest of backwater barns to the hippest of inner city super clubs. Headlining most of the country’s leading festivals, Gregor established himself as a leading artist in Dutch club land with his distinctive mix of tropical, latin and soulful grooves, set to a solid base of house and electro.
Besides DJing and producing, Gregor also keeps busy with the corporate side of things. In 2001 he started his own imprint G-REX Music. In 2009 G‐REX became a part of the Dadadam label group of which Gregor is CEO. Dadadam now represents multiple labels with various styles. The common factor of all releases is the creativity and talent of all producers. In Gregor’s words: ‘I truly believe our Dadadam organisation is unique in it’s musical diversity, we are an important breeding ground for Dutch electronic dance music’.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬★ Cesqeaux ★▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Cesqeaux (pronounced ‘Sesko’) is a producer, performer, songwriter, DJ and all-round force of nature, someone you’ll never forget once you’ve been into his orbit. Whether crafting monster hits with David Guetta (‘2U’, featuring Justin Bieber) or playing festivals around the world, Cesqeaux continuously works at all aspects of his artistry and keeps his repertoire fresh: never-before-heard sounds, original visuals, new experiences.
Born and bred in Groningen, The Netherlands and now Amsterdam-based, Cesqeaux has released three volumes of his Eauxmygod EP series for Barong Family, collaborative Eps with both Yellow Claw and Carribean producer Menasa, another solo EP on Mad Decent (The Infamous) and several singles. Although he has always incorporated his own vocals in his productions, it was still something of a shock to many to hear him actually duet with Sophie Simmons on the tropical pop song and video ‘Private Time’. To Cesqeaux, however, it was a logical next step after collaborating on ‘2U’, David Guetta and Justin Bieber’s worldwide smash from the summer of 2017, as well as Yellow Claw’s ‘Stacks’ with Quavo and Tinie Tempah.
Over the past five years, Cesqeaux has co-produced Yellow Claw’s single ‘Wild Mustang’ and remixed the likes of Major Lazer (‘Night Riders’), Selena Gomez (‘Good For You’), David Guetta & Afrojack (‘Hey Mama’, ‘Dirty Sexy Money’), DJ Snake (‘Ocho Cinco’), Yellow Claw (‘Wild Mustang’, ‘Higher’) as well as Barong Family labelmates Moksi, San Holo and Stoltenhoff. No less than three terrific music videos were released from Eauxmygod Vol.3, each breaking free of any scene clichés.
With fully loaded USBs at the ready and creativity in abundance, Cesqeaux continues to thrill his fans from the United States to China, Brasil to Australia and back to Holland. He has played at Tomorrowland and Mysteryland (both multiple times), RARE Orlando and Magnetic Festival, and returns to Ultra Festival in the spring of 2018. Wherever he goes, he leaves a lasting impression.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬★ DJ Assad ★▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
+ de 900 radio shows
Sans oublier « FOR YOUR EYES », « PLAYGROUND », « SO FAR AWAY » «POP MY LIFE» « MAKE IT HOT » « OLÉ » « VENGA VENGA » « ENAMORAME »
Collaborations: WILLY WILLIAM, USHER, CRAIG DAVID, MOHOMBI, BIG ALI, SABRINA WASHINGTON, MHD
