These menus will blend the acclaimed chef's expertise in creating outstanding gourmet experiences, with local produce, pulling inspiration from Mauritian spices and flavours.
Chef Luke Dale Roberts and his stellar team of 17 persons from The Test Kitchen will cook alongside our own chefs, training them in The Test Kitchen methods to create special dinners to remember!
The experience starts at 19:00 in the Dark Room with some canapés and cocktails followed by the 5-course menu in the Light Room.

The Test Kitchen
The Test Kitchen Restaurant in Cape Town has an international appeal and a waiting list sometimes reaching months long for diners to be able to experience a unique culinary journey of 21 courses.
The restaurant is a renowned fine dining establishment opened by award-winning Chef Luke Dale Roberts in South Africa. It is open only for dinners, where 40 privileged guests can go on a culinary journey.
The experience starts in The Dark Room where guests share tapas-style dishes before moving to the formal The Light Room to finish the gastronomic adventure.
Signature dishes include the Peruvian ceviche harking back to the months Dale Roberts spent travelling through South America. Enigmatic Scotland is given a nod in the umami-packed Billionaire’s Shortbread, while the iconic Ploughman’s Platter of Luke’s native England is given a suitably Test Kitchen makeover.
Since its opening in 2010, international accolades for The Test Kitchen abound, and highlights include being
placed number 22 Best Restaurant in the World and being named the Best Restaurant in Africa in the World’s Best Restaurants Awards in 2016.

TIME magazine pinpointed the date November 24, 2010, as the day “Woodstock officially became Cape Town’s hottest district... when Luke Dale Roberts opened The Test Kitchen there.” Since opening The Test Kitchen, Luke has won the Chef of the Year award at the 2011 Eat Out DStv Food Network Restaurant Awards and many accolades for his restaurants.
