DUB JOY:
A passionate of music since he is 12 years old, he is the rising star of the local clubbing scene. Since training at the ‘DJ Stylus Academy’ with renowned Mauritian artists in 2008 and subsequently being mentored by David Jay, one of the best DJ in the island, his career has continued to progress. His style is unique as he is the only Mauritian DJ to mix equally well house/ electro and underground music. He has a wide knowledge of music which includes 80’s/ 90’s, mainstream, RNB, deep house, tech house, minimal, progressive house, soulful, fidget house and electro.
YORSHINI :
Yorshini Thondoo stepped into the musical world at the age of 6, as she enrolled as a student at the Conservatoire de musique national François Mitterrand. After two years of basic music theory courses, she chose violin as her main instrument, and pursued her studies in western classical music for the next 10years.
Having completed her final examinations, she decided to broaden her musical experiences towards various genres such as alternative rock, electro music, fusion, or jazz among others. As such, Yorshini has collaborated with several local artists, sometimes as violin player and at other times as singer, for projects like “Porgy ek Bess', MAMAJAZ, or themed events including violin electro sessions.
